Description
Dendara & Abydos tour, our first step of the day is Abydos, this is home to the temple of Seti I “The Cult of Osiris” the sacred god of the dead. It is said that the Head of Osiris was buried at the site after he was murdered by his brother.
This is a very important site in the history of ancient Egypt as it was a place of pilgrimage that ancient Egyptians would have visited at least once in their life. You will have time to browse around this site at your pace.
Our second visit is to the temple of Hathor the cow goddess Dendara Temple, she was generally shown as a cow, or woman with a cow’s head. The temple is famous for the astronomy scenes and zodiacs signs on the ceiling.
