• Regarding the booked ship: The specific ship used on different weekdays depends on
booking volume and is decided by our local agency. Most often, it will be the model
advertised in the program. In exceptional cases, an equivalent ship from another shipping
company may be used. The detailed equipment may vary from the description, but the star
rating will remain identical.
• Regarding the tour sequence: Since our trips start on various weekdays and ships have
their own timetables, changes in the order of the Nile cruise program are possible.
Furthermore, low or high water levels can influence the ship cruise. Generally, the shipping
company reserves the right to change the itinerary. For example, guests may need to be
transported by bus for a partial leg of the journey. In rare cases, a change to another ship
may also be necessary. However, the program content remains consistent; all sightseeing
tours will be conducted, and the optional program remains unaffected. Only the flow or
order of sightseeing may change.
This adjustment may lead to a minor change in the sequence of visits, but the program itself will
remain untouched. Your local tour guide in Luxor will explain the itinerary in detail at the beginning
of the cruise.
This comprehensive itinerary should give you a clear overview of your exciting journey through
Egypt! Is there anything specific you’d like to know more about, or perhaps any questions about the
optional excursions?
Fly to Hurghada (flights to be booked separately). Upon arrival, our local tour guide will meet you
and transfer you to your ship.
Overnight: On board the ship.
Today, you'll visit the largest theological temple complex in the world. The magnificent Karnak
Temple was built on a vast area with an enormous hypostyle court where the sun god Amun-Re was
worshipped for nearly two thousand years. Afterwards, you'll explore Luxor Temple and see well-
preserved high reliefs. In the afternoon, your ship cruises upstream. Enjoy the passing Nile
landscape from the sun deck. You'll pass through the large lock at Esna.
Meals: Full board. Overnight on the ship.
In the morning, you'll visit the Horus Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the falcon-headed god.
Afterwards, your ship continues upstream to Kom Ombo. Here, you'll visit the double temple of
Sobek and Haroeris, located directly on the Nile. In the evening, your ship is expected in Aswan.
Meals: Full board. Overnight on the ship.
After breakfast, you'll travel by bus over the old dam to the Aswan High Dam. Then, you'll
continue by motorboat to Agilkia Island, home to the re-erected Philae Temple, dedicated to the
goddess Isis. This temple was meticulously dismantled from the neighboring Philae Island and
reassembled stone by stone on Agilkia Island until 1980, as it was threatened by the dam's rising
waters. In the afternoon, you'll sail on a felucca, a traditional Upper Egyptian sailboat that has
traversed the Nile for over 5000 years, around Elephantine Island. From the river, you'll also enjoy
views of the Aga Khan Mausoleum.
Meals: Full board. Overnight on board the ship.
Today is a free day for you in Aswan. You have the option of an optional excursion by plane or
bus from Aswan to the rock temples of Abu Simbel. There, you'll visit the large temple of
Ramses II and the slightly smaller temple of Nefertari.
Meals: Full board. Overnight on board the ship.
Today, your Nile ship cruises downstream through the particularly beautiful Nile Valley landscape
of Upper Egypt, which you can enjoy from the sun deck. Time seems to have stood still here.
Waterwheels, houses made of dried Nile mud, evergreen palm groves, and small villages transport
you to another era.
Meals: Full board. Overnight on board the ship.
Today marks another highlight of your journey. You'll cross to the West Bank of Luxor to visit the
Necropolis, once the largest city in the world. In Thebes, now part of Luxor, you'll explore some
tombs in the Valley of the Kings, the resting places of the powerful pharaohs of the New Kingdom.
The detailed depictions and "Underworld Books" on the walls speak of faith and hope. The
exquisite paintings and reliefs in the tombs of high dignitaries reflect the life of that period. In the
fascinating Terrace Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, you'll learn about the famous expedition to
Punt. Passing the enormous Colossi of Memnon, the stone guardians of the city of the dead, once
admired even by Emperor Septimius Severus, you'll return to the ship at midday.
Meals: Full board. Overnight on board the ship.
